I was just wondering what i should change this too :-

repair_id = repair_fighter_never

If i wanted NPC's to repaire thier ships. i got a few clues but i dont fancy altering it all then having to do it again if i get it wrong.

Also how does one get shields to regenerate like they do with PC ships??

Does anyone know exactly what the 'MSG_ID_PREFIX' lines in the Factionprops.ini file do? I have a hunch they determine what sound is used to refer to them in the speech word-chains, such as used by NPCs in the bars, and NPC ships and stations in space.

If that's correct, does anyone happen to know what MSG_ID_PREFIX is used for the word 'Freelancer'? This probably only works when the word is used over comms in space, but that's fine. (I ask because I'm going to add NPC Freelancers as a faction - well, two factions in fact, the 'good' and 'bad' Freelancers.)

I tried adding a faction in sp and it failed. I edited the save game and followed the tutorials exactly. So before I try and debug it yet again, I'll ask the question,please could someone tell me if they have managed to add a fully working faction to sp.

Well, i cannot do the newcharacter.fl file - but i have got it working, except that it is neutral with you.......(in SP)

I had this problem a few weeks ago:

FLE worked with the new faction but when i added patrols or zone pops
i crashed when i leaved the base where i started.

This is what i did(i dont know which of these things fixed it but it IS one of these:

1.EXE/Newplayer.fl you must add your faction
2.EXE/mpnewcharacter.fl you must add your faction

Hello, i've a problem that's surprise

I've added new faction by editing emphaty.ini, initialworld.ini, factionprops.ini
I've edited mpnewcharacter.fl and newplayer.ini in exe folders
and contolled everything twice and i know that i've done it right

Faction is working fine, i can make bases owned by this faction but the PROBLEM is with patrol, when i am waiting on the place patrol the server crash down. I tryed it with original faction (bretonia police) and it crash again the problem could be in patroll adding by FLexplorer

Another problem is that i can't see the new faction in reputation list in a game.

does FLE do encounters for you if u just create a faction NON FLMM STYLE with this tut??

FLE will use any faction you create as long as it's defined properly. You will be able to create encounters or patrol paths without difficulty

How can we make the faction see-able (weird word) in F8 menu?

I mean,for example how you,great modders,made Nomads see-able (again) in Rep Menu?

The Nomads and the Order if i remember right are blocked as standard, best thing to do with them is to make duplicate entries and renaming the factions fc_n2_grp or something like that. I'm actually on holiday atm so don't have the files in front of me. This subject has been covered in other threads tho with full explanations on how to sort this proplem so best to do a search on this and you'll find what you need.

Hi im not sure if this is posted already but i have a problem.

iv made the faction and its made in all the required Files. But it won't show up on Freelancer Explorer Can anyone help???

The Order are available, I added an Order planet and base in a custom system. BTW, theyre neutral 2 u at the start

lmao, it can work in SinglePlayer but you have to edit the newplayer.fl file inside the EXE folder. Look at my topic, in this forum, about changing SP Start Details.

It is just like mpnewcharacter.fl but only for Singleplayer.
