Crashes

Ok, happy Easter, everyone

For some reason, my computer has stopped working... well to be more specific I get what I presume to be a stop error every time I reach the login screen, I think. Heck, at some point during boot up, after that 'Loading Windows' screen, it restarts and runs the POST again. I'm not sure what is going on, or even what to do about it. Of all the (7) computers in our house, mine is the ONLY one that supports SATA so mine is the ONLY one that can plug in my HDD, ergo I have no way of looking on the drive from another computer. Typical, really. I've tried restoring "Fail-Safe" (whatever that is supposed to be) settings in the BIOS but no effect. My guess is this has everything to do with Windows and nothing to do with hardware, but then I know sod-all about hardware, tbh.

Any help you guys can provide is greatly appreciated.

I'm not evil, I'm morally challenged

EDIT: Oh, stellar effort by me. Better post my setup so everyone actually knows what my system is (supposed to be).

Motherboard: Neo 925x Platinum
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200 (120G
Gfx Card: ATI Radeon X850XT
CPU: Intel Pentium 4 3.2GHz

Any more needed, just ask. Most is integrated onto the Motherboard so I can't really find any actual specs.

EDIT: Ok, stuck another HDD into my system to see if it WAS Windows that was causing problems. As it happens the problem is still there. Looks like it IS the motherboard or some combination of malfunctioning components, which is a good and bad thing. A good thing because I get to keep my enormous block of downloaded data, a bad thing because I am faced with spending £500+ on more hardware if unlucky. Alternatively, I managed to wipe the new HDD I put in, in which case I must now explain to my sister why her computer will no longer work.

EDIT: Ok, computer will not start up at all now. Seems my fiddling has had a rather negative effect. It just makes this beeping noise, the kind you get when it's very unhappy about something. No way to turn it off except by switching off the power supply.

Did you get my reply, Taw, or is my email screwed up as well? What a fun week this is.

I got it fine, it just didn't seem like you needed a reply

Ok, fair enough. Damn thing's been giving me a headache in the past and I wasn't sure if it was working.
