Nice. You're full of good ideas, aren't you?
Universal Convoy USTC-7012 "Merry Men"
The "Merry Men" are some of the finest pilots in all Sirius. They come from all walks of life and every house is represented. "Reliable" Randy Sega searched high and low for these pilots and, of the some 100 who looked most promising, he isolated 20 to be his personal squad. They all have extensive piloting experience and know how to keep cool under pressure. They all respect piloting ability above anything else. It is against company policy to hold grudges or have specific vendettas so officially they Merry Men have no enemies but, due to their often extremely valuable cargo, they have had many run-ins with pirates. Most now know better than to go after this elite squad but that has not stopped some of the more foolhardy young pirates from trying anyway. Few of those ever return. The Reliable Randy and his Merry Men have developed a reputation for providing excellent, timely service for any and all important deliveries.
3 Trains, 2 Armoured Transports, 4 Wings of Light Fighters (an eclectic mix, ranging from Banshees to Hawks to Patriots - if I have to change this I will, just let me know or assume that they're all Hawks)
"Reliable" Randy Sega
It has become common knowledge that "Reliable" Randy Sega is the man to call if you have a large, valuable shipment that needs to be delivered quickly and safely. Starting out as a Rhino pilot for Universal Shipping Randy quickly made a name for himself after single-handedly fighting off a Rogues ambush consisting of a full wing of Bloodhounds. The management of Universal quickly realized Randy's full potential and he rose through the ranks quickly. As he gained in prestige he was given more and more lucrative trade assignments. All the while he never lost a shipment. Some were reduced but none were lost as long as Randy flew one transport. He could make even a train dance. This led to him getting the nickname "Reliable" Randy. Eventually Randy was given command of his own convoy. This is when things broke down a bit. On his first mission Randy and his convoy were ambushed by Outcasts. The convoy quickly lost cohesiveness and the escorts began dropping like flies. Only Randy's ingenuity and wonderful piloting saved the day; the convoy managed to arrive at its destination but the losses were severe. In an astounding display of good corporate judgement the Universal bosses authorised Randy to spend a few months combing Sirius for the best civilian pilots for an elite convoy. Randy did so and, after three months of searching the Merry Men were born. Now they deliver high importance cargo to any and all hotspots.
Hmmm... If I ever finish writing TRP I'll have to write something about "Reliable" Randy and Frank.
