Okay - if ANYONe is having trouble with the patch - it is a now known bug. You need the same one that the server runs for MP - so IF you crash after installing teh client patch - then download the server one and you will be fine. Vica versa of course. I know its a major pain - but the server admin and players have sorted out which one they run, and basically i don;t know which is what, who is where - and what i am doing anymore! lol.

does this patch fix the loading problem? or is that going to be fixed in 1.28?

I don't know the loading problem - if its a download problem, i suggest try to download from my site. THen use the SDK to overwrite your ini files with them (they are fine) and then see if it willl activate. Basically - have you tried to reinstall the game? also - SDK is known to work with this fine (it prepares your files basically) so true using that. There might be more delay on 1.28 due to the fact that the mod is being translated into French, and now chinese as well!!

Genius, I have tried saving it to my desktop. When I try to open it from there that is when I get that error message I typed out.

I`m having same problem as above , can`t activate the mod into flmm ....

Hmm - have you got FLMM beta 9 installed, and have you installed the SDK into the Freelancer Directory. Also - have you got FLMM installed to its default directory - and have you got Freelancer in the default directory as well. Someone else was having crashes - but when he changed a directory for FLMM to what i should be - everything was hunky dory...

Yes I have both FL and FLMM Beta 9 installed to thier default directories. And I have the SDK installed as well. The strange thing is when it was on the front page I was able to d/l it just fine. :/

The file that you can download here at Lancers reactor is corrupt (it's 9.26mb or something when it should be 9.49mb)

Yep - that is my download hosts addy - that comes straight from me (he downloads it from me that is!). Don't forget to use the client patch so that you don't get kicked from servers!

Chips, have a problem. I have the Slipstream at LPI Huntsville and cannot get out of the facility. No matter what I do it will not let me through the door. When the scene to show the door opening and you flying out comes up, all it shows is a wall. Please advise what to do next. Thanks....

Hmm - the slipstream doesn't land at prisons well then does it? Well - erm - I can say categorily - erm, don't land at prisons whilst in a slipstream!! I don't want to have to make it into a pants ships by making it only dock at certain places - however, in 1.28 i have made it so every ship will use a different method of docking at prisons to the usual one! Nice and easy. Sorry it won't be working til then.

Chips: huge complaint...the testubo, the eagle freighter. is hideously underpowered. it's supposed to be a pirate freighter, right? to me that would mean being able to fight off perhaps 4 bounty hunters and being able to run from more. the twin thrusters are nice for that but need a little longer burn time. after shooting at one BH it ain't dead and I'm out of power taking all kinds of hits while my power reserves limp up so I can almost kill a BH again, repeat. the freighter power upgrade2 gives about a 2hundred less power than the testubo already has. that upgrade being from oder shipyards.
more power please, sold somewhere in the corsair systems.

i have to say, i love it, have experienced ZERO crashes, ZERO bugs etc., imho if u keep whining about these things u don't love the game enough, THIS GUY DID IT IN HIS BEDROOM FOR CHRISSAKES STOP WHINGING!
have only experienced 1 'minor' problem, any others i simply can't be bothered to remember...
In Florida, when i dock with a trade lane, i move at correct speed etc., but don't get the pretty lights that indicate I'm moving @ 3,000kps (or whatever)...dunno if anyone else has mentioned this, but i can't be bothered reading 9 pages of of people going "I'm not complaining, but..."
Might just be me, maybe a bad download...?
