help: kusari blood dragon

can someone give me a hand please?
im trying to make the kusari blood dragon sellable
thats all fine and dandy but the thing is, the whole entry for the kusari blood dragon is different, since, i think, its a ship entirely used by NPC's, am i right?
i cant edit how many nanobots and shield batteries it can carry, among several other things......

edit: if i cant make it sellable, is it possible to, say, clone the kusari elite ship and change it's skin and model to match the blood dragon?
i dont mean just the model and skin, i mean everything - the loadout and all else..

can someone show me what must be done for that?
like, what ini files i need to edit to make it sellable and so on...

also, is it possible to create a new base that instead of looking like a solid dockable base, it would look like the yellow/white jumphole? (( kinda like making a jumphole leading straight INTO a base lol - figuratively speaking.. not literally - i just want it to feel like that ))

i also hear of "glitches" that people say, when they enter a new cloned base they create, they dock in successfully and do everything they need to do, but when they dock OUT of the base, they come out the original base...

u know what im saying?

edit: basically, what i want is to create a "phantom" base that looks like a jumphole which leads straight into another existing base, so when you dock out of it, you will be going out the original "destination" base...
it would make it more believable about the whole into-base jumphole thing.. lol

in this base, i want to put the new kusari blood dragon ship to be sold there

Well, If I get what you're trying to say, you want a jumphole that insted of jumping to another system, it simply docks you to a base.

Yes this can be done.

Also, you want to be able to dock at base A, and launch at base B, if I understand you right, then also yes you can do this.

Blood Dragon is the same as any other ship, you need to create a package for the ship, and a market_ships.ini entry for that package.


I can get the entirty fo the resources, and can start to gather them now, though I bet someone will beat me to it.

Ok, here goes:

Blood Dragon:

Firstly, in Goods.ini, add these entries:

There, you can now buy your blood dragon wherever you put it, and it's fun to fly!

Next up: Bases that look like jumpholes.

First, open up your decrypted SolarArch.ini file, and add this block to the end.

type = STATION ;IMPORTANT TO HAVE THIS LIKE THIS, This tells the server to send the player to a base, not to another system.
DA_archetype = solar\dockable\jump_hole.3db ;Make it look like a jumphole

loadout = jumphole ;Gives it the SFX, for the jumphole, the essance of what a jumphole really is.

docking_sphere = berth, HpDockMountA, 150 ;Make sure that you have a berth, this allows small ships to dock, if you leave this as JUMP, then you'll most likly CTD. You can also make it "moor_large" "moor_medium", or "moor_small" if you want mooring capacitys

phantom_physics = true ;Allows you to fly through it.


Now in any system, simply create a base, and change the archtype to jumpholebase. For example, if you replaced the old section (Li01_08) in new york...

And finally:

Dock at A, Launch at B

Simple. If you look at Newark's info in Li01.ini, you'll find:

dock_with is the line we want, if we were to change it to li01_01_base, then you'd dock at Newark, but come out at manhattan.

The only problem with this is, when you dock at newark, the manhattan base is loaded, making it impossible to view the true newark base.

Make sure you check the loadout of your jumpholebase [Object in the system INI file - it should be set to "loadout = jumphole", not the loadout of a base, since the model of a jumphole doesn't have any hardpoints for weapons.
