First Time player.....Original or Mod???

Alright,

I just recently discovered this great game called Freelancer! Ever heard of it? HEHEHE J/K

Anyways, before I actually started the SinglePLayer game, I had a simple question to ask you guys: Should I play through the original game first, or use one of the newer mods such as Evolution or Crossfire to begin?

I would recommend to play through the game first and then try mods.

The Computer, probably the best friend in the world!

Whilst mods may indeed prolong gameplay, they ONLY prolong gameplay because you are used to the standard gameplay.

In reality, compared to the actual game, the mods do nothing apart from add a little "bling bling" factor. The game is what captures people - the storyline, the online communities (servers - MP is great, try it!)... only when you have got so sick of the normal game that you are about to consign it to the bin, then - and only then, should you start on mods.

I also wouldn't start on full blown mods either, start small and work your way up.

If you just start out with a full mod, you will loose 80% of the playability of the game.

finish the original game and then MODS and MP!!!
if u dont like the original game, mods wont change your feelings about the game

No, Mods can change your feeling about the game greatly becuase you now understand you can edit it to your taste.
