Cinema 4D

Is there a CMP Importer/Exporter that exists for Cinema 4D?

Thanks

the only import/exporter existing is for Milkshape ...

Well I've seen a modder who has changed his menu screen colors and I know you can't import/export them thru Milkshape, So I'm thinking maybe... he paid big money for an importer/exporter or there's just something we havent found yet.

Well, there's usually ways around that limitation. Such as, exporting to .obj format, then importing that to Cinema4D, or exporting to .obj then importing that into milkshape or whatever.

What formats does cinema use anyways??

Any changes made to the HUD were done using primarily UTF Edit, which allows us to alter the contents of the various 3db files used for things like the HUD. That's all that's going on here.

As for Cinema4D... erm... well, it's kind've crappy for low-poly stuff, imo... it's really not designed for game work. Other than that basic problem, it's a pretty decent modeler. Unfortunately, that's a pretty major problem... and if you aren't super-committed to C4D, I'd strongly suggest using GMAX instead, if you want to make models... or pick up a student copy of Rhino3D (which is what I use), because both of them are better modeling environments for game modeling.

Thanks for the assistance.

Is the UTF Editor available for download here at LR? I'd like to take a look at it.

If not, do you mind providing a link?

Thanks for all your comments/suggestions
