.sur files

Hi everybody,

I've just finished my custom ship but it seems i can't find proper .sur file for my model... no big deal - just a ship based on Drizzt4.0's great tutorial...

I managed to import some .sur file into ms3d and, for example, ship.cmp and ship.sur are (obviously) very similar. So, I wonder is there any way to convert cmp(or any other file) to sur... or to somehow build my sur...

Regards,
Woozie

If you download FLmodeltool it has a function where it resizes a sur to the ships cmp. You can just copy another sur into the folder and rename it to fit. In order for the sur to work it needs to be the same name as the cmp.
Its very easy to use, even i can use it..

I'll try to modify some sur file from FL folder. Thank you so much for giving me some clues...

You can't just import/export SURs, guys. You can resize/reshape them with FLModel Tool, but until the SUR Exporter's out of private beta, it's not possible to make new ones, or to do much modification of existing ones. It's OK- using existing SURs works just fine anyhow...
