I think the graphic needs to be ray-traced in order to get the texture to be straight and non-warbly.

That rendering looks like the old PREVIEW-RENDER from TruSpace.. where it actually didnt render it but just kinda flopped it all on there illogically.

sorry, I ment that I retextured the ship and that it is ready to be imported into the game... but that will take a bit, because Talla is now on my modelling list

Freelancer's engine is the greatest way to continue the Wing Commander legend. Hats off to you talented hard working fans!

I disagree here, it is a good waz to continue a WC Priv mix, but no way to continue wing commander, which is mission based space simulation

tolwyn has you there ix, Fl is designed around a Privateer style game, while Wing Commander is a strict mission based plot with no joyriding for the hell of it. cant wait for saga to come out tolwyn, demo was good until end of the second mission

As far as continuing to keep the WC universe alive is probably more of what I was getting at.

I would love nothing better than a game that uses the entire WC universe map.. all 30 quadrants or whatever... and having an option to enlist with confed, border worlds, pirates, merc guilds, trading guilds, you name it.

Anyway.. I know I am getting ahead of myself, but the possibility remains. I remember forking over 80 bucks for privateer when it hit the shelves. Imagine that. This game is relatively simplistic nowadays.

Just to through my 2 cents in...
I think that Starlancer would be a good basis for a Pure Wing Commander mod.

I was always disappointed the Starshatter mod never came to anything.

Anyway, couple things:

Black Phoenix, I got your Dragon mesh, but there a couple problems. Namely, it has way too many textures and the mesh is screwed up. (Which is pretty much the default state of WCIV meshes). Unless EderLynx magicizises a better one it's probably useless for the time being.

warzog, I uploaded the bases to the FTP, go check them out. They're in the respective folders (as const.zip and perry.zip)

EDIT: Black Phoenix, not lightning. Dammit :head banging smiley:

Bob, you have forgot the old Tolwyn, who is also capable of doing 3d models

Warzog: basically you are right, but since there is no mission editor for SL the game is practically unmodable

LoL Bob I think you got the names mixed. I sent them. Btw what do you mean its messed up and has to many textures? When I was messing with it in MilkShape it looked fine.
Anyway I take your word for it.
But can it be used in making a new ship or would it be messed up to?
