Some Questions Ref Multi!

So is their giong to be a certain amout of servers set up for FL by Microsoft? What is the max amount of players that a server can host? Is their going to be PvsP? I cant waite to play been waiting for another program to come out like Privateer with the Multi side! Ive played E&B was part of Beta Testing it and it was ok but seems like FL from what I have read is going to ROCK!

Not sure what Microsoft is going to do about dedicated servers, but the maximum number of players an FL server can support is 128. PvP is most definitely in and enabled on the Elite server currently.

Newbie to posting on the forums but have been lurking a while now

From what I understand MS will not have any dedicated servers but I'm sure there will be many many player run servers soon after release. Think along the lines of Neverwinter Nights. If I'm wrong I'm sure somebody will correct me.

Whoosh......moved to multiplayer forum.

DA wanted to make sure that FL would never be a "pay to play" multiplayer. MS will be running the global list server to see, and join into, user based servers. Generally, the accepted max is 16, but the software will allow up to 128. It's subjective based on your uplink pipe and ram amount and speed.

@ MrDigital....that may be but in NWN you could at least bring your own multiplayer character with you instead of having to start fresh on each new server u connect too. Not that im moaning about it...I cant wait for FL.
