I wouldn't know, i've never seen anything about it.

As for xtension, it is next to imposible for me to get a copy here in canada.
i've been on the x site, and have wanted to get x:gold. however the english copy has been sold out for quite some time (and yes, i am aware of the work around involving that 100mb+ english file for the german version. but seeing as how it is unsupported, i wouldn't feel comfortable using it.)
that being said, i think i'll wait a month or two and get X2 when it comes out. from what i've read, X2 is to improve on everything Xtension was.
if i like it... i may consider getting x:gold... if they ever make anymore english copies

Don't know what to think about it since it isn't available at all since summer of last year I tried & just basically gave up on it.Basically,Dethstryke summed up my opinion except there'd probably be no reason to get it since its predecessor will have arrived by then.

I ordered Xtension direct from the web site. I'll comment on the title but
since this IS a Freelancer site I won't comment anymore unless it's moved
to off Topic.

I enjoyed playing Xtension. It takes a really long time to make profit. You do
get a feeling of satisfaction after taking 3 to 4 hours to get enough credits to
get that factory you want, then supply it with freighters to get your goods
and fighters to protect it. I played it in 1152 by 864 resolution. Very impressive.

While there are many ships going about their business, it's devoid of a lot of chatter, which gives the feeling your out there alone. I will buy X2 when it's released. But for now I'm really looking forward to Freelancer. Would say more

The time it takes to get a little money was one of the things I didn't like about X. The first time I went through the game I made sure I saved often because I didn't want to go back and transport power cells over and over for another two days. If X2 takes that long to make a little money I will consider that a strike against it.

The second time I decided to play X I just hacked it to give me more money, this worked OK but when I got to that station that could soup up your ship I did it so much that the price of the next upgrade exceded the maximum amount of money you could give yourself by hacking your savegame.

Let's get those missiles ready to destroy the universe!!

Never played Xtension or one of the other X-series titles. I know i should, but i simply haven't gotten up to it
